About Independent Equality Solutions LLC
At Independent Equality Solutions (IES), we see people first—always. Our organization was built on the belief that good support starts with real relationships, respect, and showing up for people in the moments that matter most.
IES grew from the experience of our founder, Malcolm Porter, who began working in human services in 2002 as a Direct Support Professional. Those early years taught him that true support isn’t about programs or paperwork—it’s about listening, being patient, and caring for people the way you would care for your own family. That belief became the foundation of everything IES is today.
How IES Began and Grew
In 2017, Malcolm launched the company as Independent Employment Services with a focus on helping people find meaningful work and the confidence that comes with it. While supporting individuals on the job, it became clear that employment was only part of what many people needed to succeed.
-
In 2019, IES expanded to offer Homemaker/Personal Care (HPC) so individuals could receive compassionate support at home.
-
In 2021, we added Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) to help people get safely to work, appointments, and the places that keep them connected to their communities.
-
In 2025, the organization became Independent Equality Solutions LLC, a name that better reflects our full mission—supporting people in every area of daily life.
